Full-channel coverage.
No per connector fees.

One flat price covers every channel. Legacy archivers bill per connector — every channel you add re-opens procurement. Comma doesn't.

No credit card required.

Illustrative. Most legacy vendors don't publish pricing — the range shown ($15–$22/user/mo base + $8–$20/user/mo per connector) reflects what firms actually pay. Your quote will vary. Comma's won't.

Frequently asked questions

Are there per-channel or per-connector fees?
No. $33 per user per month includes every channel we support — iMessage, WhatsApp, Signal, Slack, Teams, and 35+ others. Adding a channel never changes your bill.
What does the $15 archival-only tier cover?
When a user leaves your firm or changes roles, you still need to retain their prior communications for the regulatory window. $15/user/month keeps their archive searchable, exam-ready, and WORM-compliant without paying the full active-user rate. It's applied automatically when a seat is offboarded.
How long is messaging retained?
Your selected framework and configured operating policy determine the retention setup. Review the applicable period with your legal and compliance team; there is no single default that establishes suitability for every record or organization.
Can I use my own storage?
Yes. Comma can deliver an additional copy of your archive to your own Amazon S3 bucket or Azure Blob container, running alongside the Comma archive. Delivery starts at activation and does not backfill historical records. Immutability of the delivered copy is controlled by your storage configuration. Looking for private cloud or on-premises deployment of Comma itself? See enterprise options.
How does the 14-day free trial work?
Full access, no credit card. Connect a test user, capture real messages, run a sample supervision query, export a sample exam package. If it doesn't fit, walk away — we'll delete the archive on request.
Can iMessage conversations be archived for SEC or FINRA compliance?
Yes. Comma captures business-related iMessage conversations in real time without disabling iMessage or relying on iCloud backup. Our solution is built specifically to help financial firms meet SEC and FINRA recordkeeping requirements.
Is the capture code really open source?
Our WhatsApp and Signal connectors are published on GitHub. Review the source and license before you deploy.
Is my data safe and encrypted?
Yes. All communications are encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and encrypted at rest using AES-256. We use modern cloud-native key management through AWS KMS and Azure Key Vault for secure key handling.
Do I retain ownership of my data?
Yes. You retain full ownership of all data. We only use your information to deliver compliance and archiving services. We never sell, rent, or share your data outside of authorized sub-processors.
Do you archive deleted messages?
Yes. Comma Compliance stores messages independently of iCloud, WhatsApp, and individual devices. Even if messages are deleted on the device, they're still captured and stored securely.
How does Comma Compliance support SEC and FINRA recordkeeping?
Comma is designed against SEC and FINRA electronic-recordkeeping requirements, including SEC Rule 17a-4 and FINRA Rule 3110. Our exam-ready retention and case management tools help your firm stay prepared for internal and regulatory reviews.
